Welcome message
We are excited to finally launch our dream, Washarika Montessori School, that started when our children attended kindergarten in Kampala and was nurtured when we lived in the USA at various moments in different places over the last nineteen years.
Washarika Montessori School is inspired by what we learned at those various moments, as volunteers at our children’s kindergarten in the US and early child education courses that we attended. We strive to run the best kindergarten and daycare center in Makindye division, serving parents to their highest levels of satisfaction and children to their fullest potential. Through Washarika Montessori School we aim to contribute to the Bukasa-Muyenga community and beyond and, especially, to impact our learners in ways that will stay with them forever.
We do not believe in the line that is often drawn between international and national educational systems. Rather we do believe that there is simply a good education system, which must be constantly reviewed and adapted to learners, to present circumstances, available science, new and proven teaching methods and teaching aides. At our school you will note that every activity is purposefully designed to assist learners achieve knowledge and skills, and that we employ a variety of learning tools (visual, audio) so that children play as they learn.
